DKN panel discussion at SRI2022
Research priorities for sustainability science
Our society is facing various challenges which science can contribute to cope with. Especially with regard to increasing urgency of the climate, biodiversity and food crises, sustainability research can constructively support the development of solutions and the transformation towards a sustainable society. The current global political situation additionally increases the need for action, ideally based on a solid knowledge base.
Building on its position paper “Research Priorities for Sustainability Science” , the DKN aims to discuss current challenges and important future research fields within this panel discussion. Focal points of the session will be interrelations of sustainability and climate sciences using the example of the food crisis, implications of sustainability and climate politics as well as the potential of public investment to foster resilience of society and economy.
We invite agents in science, science management, science funding and practice from a national and an international context as well as especially early-career researchers to actively take part in this discussion.
Join us on 23 June 2022 from 13:30 - 15:00 CEST!
