United in Science 2020

The United in Science Report has been released on September 9, 2020 by the United Nations Secretary-General. In the report, the World Meterological Organization (WMO) compiled the latest climate science related updates from key global partner organisations - WMO, Global Carbon Project (GCP), UNESCO Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (UNESCO-IOC), Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), UN Environment Programme (UNEP) and the Met Office. It includes key messages on greenhouse gas concentrations in the atmosphere, global fossil CO2 emissions, global climate in 2016–2020, the ocean and cryosphere in a changing climate, water and cryosphere, global climate in 2020–2024, emissions gap, and Earth system observations during COVID-19.
